Obituary/Deborah Martinson, 58

Deborah Martinson, 58, of Thief River Falls, MN, formerly of Karlstad, MN, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2026 at her home.
Deborah was born on August 26, 1967 in Warren, MN, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Landreville) Gajeski. She grew to womanhood in Florian, MN where she attended church and religious activities at Assumption Catholic Church. Deborah graduated from Argyle High School in 1985. She married John Martinson in 1990 at First Lutheran Church in Karlstad, MN. To that marriage, a daughter, Paige, was born. She lived in Karlstad and worked numerous jobs in the area. In 2010, she moved to Thief River Falls and worked until 2013 when her health started to fail.
Her love was spending time with her daughter, Paige. They enjoyed watching football, trips to Grand Forks, going out to eat, attending concerts and just spending time together. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, and great-nephews. She resided at Skylite Apartments where everyone was like family. Deborah also liked playing bingo and cards, spending time with friends, and listening to her favorite music. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful personality.
She is survived by her daughter, Paige (partner, Leann) Martinson of Thief River Falls, MN; siblings, Joe (Patty) Gajeski of East Grand Forks, MN; Ray (Phyllis) Gajeski of Grand Forks, ND, Denise (Tunde) Famodu of Richfield, MN and John (Abby) Gajeski Jr. of Thief River Falls, MN; nephews, Casey Gajeski, Andrew (Jadeyn) Gajeski, Tyler (Haley) Gajeski, Olayinka (Keridan) Famodu, Andrew Terell and Hunter Terell; niece, Amber (Dennis) Hahn; great-nephews, Jax Gajeski, Kip Gajeski, Kye Gajeski, Henry Gajeski, Wesley Gajeski, Hank Hahn and Fred Hahn.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Daisy Gajeski and George and Cecelia Landreville; parents, John and Gertrude Gajeski, an infant sister; and uncles, Leo and Lawrence Landreville.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at 11:00 am at St Edwards Catholic Church, Karlstad, MN. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
