KITTSON COUNTY STATE DITCH 48
NOTICE OF FINAL HEARING
Please Take Notice: The Kittson County Board of Commissioners, Drainage Authority for Kittson County State Ditch 48 (“SD 48”), will hold a final hearing on the Viewers’ Report of Benefits and Damages for the redetermination of benefits of SD 48. The Viewers’ Report has been filed with the Drainage Authority. The hearing will be held on April 7, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., in the Upper-Level Meeting Room at the Kittson County Courthouse, 410 5th Street South, Hallock, Minnesota. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
The Viewers’ Report, along with amendments, if any, are available for inspection by contacting Aimee Sugden, Kittson County Administrator, by email or phone (asugden@co.kittson.mn.us or (218) 853-2805). Written comments may be directed to Aimee Sugden by email or by U.S. Mail to Kittson County Courthouse, Attn: Aimee Sugden, 410 5th Street S, Hallock, MN 56728.
Please note this is a combined hearing involving benefits redeterminations for Kittson County Ditches 1, 4, 9, 12, 16, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 31, and 33; and State Ditches 1, and 48.
At the final hearing, the Drainage Authority will accept public comment regarding the Viewers’ Reports. Any party having an interest in the proceedings may appear and provide comment per the instructions above. Written comments will be accepted through close of business on April 6, 2026, by email or by U.S. Mail to Aimee Sugden (asugden@co.kittson.mn.us or Kittson County Courthouse, Attn: Aimee Sugden, 410 5th Street S, Hallock, MN 56728).
The following properties are affected by the redetermination of benefits and damages for SD 48:
Percy Township, T161N-R46W, Sections 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20,21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, Kittson County.
Unorganized Township, T161N-R45W, Sections 18, 19, Kittson County.
