Ragnar L. Bjornson of Middleboro, MA passed away on September 15, 2025 at the age of 90 years, 5 months, and 8 days. He was born in Roseau, Minnesota on April 7, 1935 to the late Carl and Teckla Erickson Bjornson. He was raised in Badger, Minnesota, where he attended Badger Consolidated School. After military service, he attended Illinois Institute of Technology and the University of Minnesota.
 On January 18, 1965, Ragnar married Karen D. Nelson in Valdosta, Georgia. Through employment, Ragnar lived in various locations, including Minneapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee, San Francisco, Toronto, and Boston. Through military service, business, and pleasure, Ragnar traveled to 43 countries on five continents, 48 states, ten provinces, and two territories in Canada.
 In 1978, Ragnar and Karen went into the cranberry business, and they were grower-owners of Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. for 37 years. 
 Ragnar was a member of the American Legion Post 40 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the Memorial Club in Middleboro, Massachusetts, the Heritage Foundations, and the Naval Institute.
 Ragnar was predeceased in death by his parents; brother Carl and Clinton and Clinton’s wife, Stephanie (Pontes) Bjornson; Don and Gloria Steanke; John and Priscilla Nelson; Kathy Nelson; and great nephew Gunnar Clinton Bjornson.  
Ragnar is survived by his wife, Karen (Nelson) Bjornson; brother-in-law Clyde Nelson; sister-in-law Margie Nelson; nephews Andrew, Carl, Eric and Dane Bjornson, and Robert Staehnke, and Brad, Brent, Brandon, Shane and Johnny Nelson; nieces, Nadine Waxler, Laurie Caillier, Brenda Cole, and Sheree Daydodge; and many great-nieces and nephews.
 He is also survived by special friends Paul Halunen and Tommy Dann.
Services will be held later in Badger, MN
